Lucy Thornton, President of The Rotary Club of Pershore 2021/22 hands over the Presidential chain of office to Richard Lees, President for 2022/23 from 1st July.
Lucy has led the Club through the second challenging year, with activities being disrupted by various lockdowns and shutdowns due to Covid.
That hasn't stopped the team supporting Lucy to raise a total of £17,715 for good causes, locally and internationally.
The donations included

£720 for Avon Navigation Trust Neptune Appeal
£250 to Derwen College for Disabled Student on Duke of Edinburgh's Award
£504 for Usborne Dictionaries for Primary School Leavers
£50 to National Gardens Scheme
£700 for Nepal School Projects
£200 for Pershore Abbey
£150 for Pershore In Bloom Hanging Baskets
£720 for Pershore Wellbeing Centre
£160 for Queens Jubilee Tree in Abbey Park
£250 to Evesham and District Rock Choir
£3,100 for St Richards Hospice
£6,201.52 for Ukraine Appeal **
£750 for Holy Redeemer School Science Project
£390 for Pershore Talking Newspaper
** includes over £1000 from Pershore Rotary Social Club and over £600 from George (see news item about George's contribution)
Richard Lees in turn hands over the Vice President chain of office to John Angood, who will be president in 2023/24.
