Together, We Can End Polio for Good

Polio once paralysed hundreds of thousands of children every year. Thanks to global collaboration led by Rotary International and our partners, the world has changed, and the WHO European Region has been polio-free since 2002.

This year’s World Polio Day comes at a pivotal time. Despite global challenges and funding pressures, the fight continues with renewed determination. From emergency vaccination efforts in conflict zones to international commitments reaffirmed at the UN General Assembly, the message is clear: we can finish what we started.
