Today is the first day of #16 Days of Activism, an annual global campaign that begins on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and ends on 10th December, Human Rights Day.

According to UN Women, 1 in 3 women worldwide has experienced physical or sexual violence, predominantly by an intimate partner.

Rotary Great Britain and Ireland is committed to working with all Rotarians in raising awareness of domestic abuse and sexual violence and proudly supports #16Days and #WeSpeakUp.

Rotary GB&I has a dedicated Domestic Abuse and Violence Against the Person Team which has created a weblink offering suggestions on how you can raise awareness in your communities, support local services and support people who may disclose that they have been affected by domestic abuse.
