About the event
On the third Monday of the month, we meet at the Queen Elizabeth in Elmley Castle. It is a very pleasant community pub with good food and friendly and helpful volunteer staff. After an early dinner, we will hear from Youth Manager Brad from the Pershore Riverside Centre.
Youth Manager Bradley Edmunds brings a wealth of Youth work experience, knowledge and is a JNC Level 6 qualified Youth and community worker. He joined the Riverside Centre in September 2015 during his Youth and community degree and has stuck with them ever since! Brad heads a dedicated team of seven sessional youth workers, including SEND specialists; a professional Counsellor, plus volunteers and student placements when available. He will be talking to us about the work of the Riverside Centre in Pershore. Brad and his team they work with 7 to 13 year olds, who voluntarily engage with the Centre for informal help. To undertake this, the Centre offer an holistic approach either directlywhere they have the skills to do so, or by sign posting to expertise. Such topics include school education and life skills, mental health challenges,special needs, identifying skill sets, career advice and Princes Trust work.
Please note, we will be sitting down to dinner promtly at 6:30pm, so please arrive by 6:15 at the latest and buy your drinks and pay for your meals in advance.
