Tributes on the Tree of Remembrance 2025
Pershore Rotary’s 2025 Tree of Remembrance Appeal has raised over £5,500 for three vital local charities
Pershore Rotary’s 2025 Tree of Remembrance Appeal has raised over £5,500 for three vital local charities: St Richard’s Hospice, Acorns Children’s Hospice and the Midlands Air Ambulance. The funds will be shared equally, with £1,850 going to each charity.
We had 194 loved ones remembered by name. These names were all on our Christmas Tree in Acorns, and the full lists have been published on Pershore Rotary Website and Facebook page and in The Evesham Journal. The full list is below.
The Appeal’s success was made possible by the generosity of many. Donations came from a variety of sources, including our champagne tombola at Pershore’s Georgian Christmas Fayre, contributions in memory of loved ones, online donations via Facebook and the support of valued business sponsors. We are grateful to the Editors of our local parish newsletters for giving us the space to promote our 2025 Appeal.
Our thanks go to many local businesses for their continuing support, particularly the Riverside Fish Bar, Thomson & Bancks, Solicitors, K C Carpets Ltd, CJC (Worcester) Ltd, Aggregates & Landscaping Supplies, Johnsons Property Consultants, Jones & Associates, Bespoke Estate Agency and A G Redman & Son Ltd, Groundwork Contractors. Also, to the managers and staff of the Co-op and Asda in Pershore for allowing us to collect outside their stores in the run up to Christmas. To the Acorns Hospice shop in Pershore for making space in their window for our Christmas tree; to Number 8, Pershore for displaying the list of our loved ones and to Pershore Town Football Club for the use of their chairs.

Once again, our Christmas spirits were raised by choirs and bands performing outside Asda, bringing their own characteristic styles of festive cheer. We are enormously grateful to Sing for Health, the Feel-Good Chorus, Vocal High, Pershore Brass, Pershore Abbey Choir, Evesham Concert Band, #LovePershore, Pershore Community Choir, Dampier’s Round, Drakes Broughton Folk Band and the u3a Ukulele Band for giving us and shoppers alike so much enjoyment. Thank you one and all for making our Asda collection days so memorable.
Our Tree of Remembrance reminds us of those we have loved and lost.
