Fugue & Groove - What a Night!
£500 raised for Pershore Music as the Rich Hughes Trio "Fugue and Groove" in Pershore Abbey
A huge thank you to the fantastic Fugue & Groove Trio for an unforgettable evening at Pershore Abbey on Saturday, 7 March. The Abbey came alive with vibrant jazz interpretations of some of the most beautiful and well-known classical pieces, creating a truly magical atmosphere.
Brilliantly introduced and led by Rich Hughes, the trio – with Simon Smith on bass and Steve Street on drums – filled the Abbey with their unique sound. The music resonated through the historic space and each musician’s distinctive style brought something special that captivated and delighted the audience.
Many of the audience had heard them before, particularly members of the Pershore Jazz Club, and they wanted to hear them again.

It was an evening that will stay with us for a long time to come. Even better, the event raised surplus funds that will be donated to support local music in the Pershore area – helping keep great music thriving in our community.
Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a memorable celebration of music!
We hope to welcome all the Pershore music lovers who came to this concert at future Charity fund raising concerts sponsored by The Rotary Club of Pershore.
The generous audience deserve an amazing thank you not just for their applause, but also for helping us to raise £500 for "Music in Pershore". (Well nearly £500, we topped it up to a round £500 ourselves!) ❤️
