Lynne Raymer's Diamond Challenge

Lynne Raymer's challenge is to achieve 60 Active 10 Awards in the month of March whatever the weather to raise funds for Wick Care Farm

Lynne Raymer's Diamond Challenge

A charity fundraising challenge throughout the month of March

In March 2023 Lynne broke the top of her tibia in two places, slipping off a raised bed in the garden. We've always maintained that gardening is a dangerous occupation, but Lynne likes to keep her garden smart. After her accident, a plate of best Sheffield Steel was put into her leg and for the next six months she was in pain, walking either on one leg or crutches. Lynne is always stalwart and likes to turn problems into opportunities, so she is now determined to use this experience to help with fund raising for one of her favourite charities - Wick Care Farm.

Lynne told us:

"In 2020 I set up the NHS Active 10 app for brisk walking. An Active 10 award means you have walked briskly for 10 minutes. Though painful at times, the app has helped my rehabilitation. My challenge is to achieve 60 Active 10 Awards in the month of March whatever the weather."

"I am doing this in aid of Wick Care Farm."

Wick Care Farm is in the process of establishing multi-purpose Quiet Room and, as this year's president, Lynne has made this year's Pershore Rotary’s President's Project to raise funds for equipping the Quiet Room.
