On Wednesday, 1 December Pershore Rotary recognised the immense amount of work and personal commitment Tom Tarver had given to promoting Rotary in Pershore by presenting him with one of Rotary International’s highest awards for achievement, a Paul Harris Fellowship.

Tom, a director of Johnsons Property Consultants in Evesham and one of the founder members of the Pershore Rotary Business Club, was instrumental in helping to smarten up and improve Rotary’s social media image. Tom has been an inspiration and driving force in the Business Club since its formation.

A spokesman for the club said that Tom reminded us constantly that we are a business networking organisation and we must keep our feet grounded in that environment, just as our founder Paul Harris did a century ago. The presentation of the award was made by Rotary District 1100’s Foundation chair, Tony Hadfield.
