About the event

On the fisrt and third Mondays, we meet at the Queen Elizabeth in Elmley Castle. It is a very pleasant community pub with good food and friendly and helpful volunteer staff. After an early dinner, we will have a guest speaker.

This weeks speaker is Sue Symonds, talking about the "Jinja Educational Trust". Sue is a long friend of our own Mina Crisp, and they have carried out many projects together in the past. Sue is a Trustee and a founder member of the charity which has evolved into the Jinja Trust. Sue is jointly responsible for the day to day running of the Trust and the fundraising. She travels to Uganda frequently, at her own expense, and is the link between the people and projects around Jinja and their supporters in UK and elsewhere. www.jinjaedtrust.com

Please note, we will be sitting down to dinner promtly at 6:30pm, so please arrive earlier and buy your drinks and pay for your meals in advance.

If you woiuld like to join us and find out more about Rotary's charity work in supporting local and international needs, please contact our secretary Andrew Turner on 07774 466209 or secretary@pershorerotary.club. Meals must be ordered in advance and the menu is available from Andrew.
